Profile

Dr. Hijran Yavuzcan Yildiz is an Associate Professor at the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Ankara University, Turkey. She has a B.Sc in agriculture from Ankara University (1988), a M.Sc (1992) and a Ph.D. (1997) from the Division of Fisheries and Aquaculture from Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences at the Ankara University. She has completed post-doctotal studies on fish and shellfish physiology. She has been involved in the development of aquaculture in Turkey since 1988. Her research activities are mainly focused on issues related to fish physiology under cultured conditions and the understanding of fish stress mechanisms. She has published many papers in international journals and contributed in national and international conferences.
