Profile

Dr. Sales is truly a multi-species and multidisciplinary expert in nutrition and animal production. Having obtained his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Agriculture, specializing in meat science and farming of ratites (ostriches and emus), he went on to do a second Ph.D. in abalone nutrition at the Rhodes University in South Africa. He has put on a number of years of academic, research and industrial development experience in a variety of fields in almost all continents. He has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books. He is currently specializing in poultry nutrition at the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences, University of Maryland, College Park, USA.
