Dr. Addison L. Lawrence is a Professor and Regents Fellow in the Texas A&M University System and a Regent Professor, Faculty Fellow, Project Leader in the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station. He is based in Port Aransas, Texas, USA. He received his bachelor degree from Southeast Missouri State College in 1956 and his master and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Missouri. After several years of distinguished academic research and teaching in various universities, he joined the Texas A&M University System in 1979 to coordinate shrimp mariculture research. Since then he has extensively worked on various aspects of shrimp culture including nutrition and feeds development. He has published more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is globally recognized as an expert on shrimp farming.
