Profile
Dr. Daniel Lemos received his Masters and Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) with research focused on shrimp bioenergetics and digestive physiology. He is currently Associate Professor at the Oceanographic Institute, University of São Paulo, and the head of the Marine Aquaculture Laboratory. His current research interests include energy budget, larval development and protein digestion in cultured species. The understanding of protein digestion at his laboratory has led to the development of diagnostic tools to assess protein quality and digestibility in aqua feeds and ingredients. Dr. Lemos publishes regularly in scientific and trade journals updating research findings of his group.
