Dr. Mike Woolford is a fermentation technologist by training, having researched into the subject new antibiotics derived from bacteria before embarking on microbiological and biochemical studies of another fermentation, that of silage. After several years at the former Grassland Research Institute in the UK, and a similar Federal Institute in Germany, Dr. Woolford has been consulting in the areas of feed preservation, including silage, hay and in-feed additives.
